For the first time ever, the architecture magazine Bauwelt has awarded a special prize in its annual competition to architects rather than a building. And they are: Thorsten Deckler and Anne Graupner from Johannesburg. They designed an arts center in Soweto which was never built due to a lack of funds.But it did give rise to other projects which helped enrich the neighborhood. ARTS.21 met up with the team in Johannesburg.
